A lonesome young man (Keno S. Neal) returns to his apartment on the morning of his 28th birthday. Nauseated after a long day, he settles into a confined living room space where a table is revealed to host important legal documents, receipts and a diary. He walks into the kitchen, takes a candle seeded cupcake from the refrigerator, sparks a fire with a lighter and begins to blow out another birthday wish. But this moment is quickly interrupted by abrupt stomping and laughter creeping in from a happy family living above him. Repressed with frustration, he blows out the candle, lays his eyes on his diary and then proceeds to make his way over to it. He settles into his workspace, flips through the various written entries until finally landing onto a blank page. Contemplative, he clicks the tail of his pen and proceeds to detail a story of self-sabotage, caffeine addiction and the existential relationship that he has with loneliness.
