Keno Steven Neal

Born & raised in South Central Los Angeles, Keno Steven Neal [he/him] is a former foster youth who began pursuing his love for storytelling at the age of 13. Using highly limited resources, he developed and mastered the art of DIY filmmaking, expanding his creative canvass across multiple styles and genres. In later years, he turned his passion for the creative arts to higher education at Santa Monica College, where he studied U.S & international film history, screenwriting + film production for 2 years. During his academic tenure, he took interests in key leadership roles as an administer of the school's film club, a film festival co-director and a variety of other extracurricular activities including volunteering for Film Independent's Spirit Awards. He has also served as a seasonal post production assistant + camera operator at the Los Angeles Acting Studio in North Hollywood and has worked as a production assistant on 2 episodes of the CBS hit series S.W.A.T S8.
Keno is currently an emerging independent writer + director and a member of Group Effort Initiative (GEI).
